The reviews are in: last week's Virtual Spring Benefit was a tremendous success! With more than 500 people tuning in to watch our live-streamed event and more than $350,000 raised, we are so incredibly thankful for every single one of our supporters and our board members. Each of you played a part in helping us meet our fundraising goal and celebrate the accomplishments of our students and our award winners. If you could not join us live, missed any part of the live broadcast, or want to share it with a loved one, our virtual gala is available on-demand here for the rest of the month! Over the course of the evening, our guests had the chance to gather in pre-gala zoom rooms to socialize, take pictures in the photo booth, and meet with Hudson Link staff and alumni before heading to the main event. Our gala featured exclusive interviews with our guests of honor, activist Reverend Jifunza and the incredible people behind The Prison Music Project, Ani DiFranco and Zoe Boekbinder. Their discussions featured insightful commentary and a behind-the-scenes look at their phenomenal projects and accomplishments. On top of these fantastic award winners, we had a celebrity guest appearance by Whoopi Goldberg. We cannot complete this newsletter without thanking each and every one of our supporters again. You make our work possible, and none of us would be here without you. This year's Virtual Spring Benefit was a love letter to the supporters who stuck by us and lifted us up through the tumultuous events of 2020 and beyond. If this event is anything to go by, 2021 is going to be a year to remember.
