Calling All Hudson Link Artists!

June 18, 2018 by Admin

Hudson Link is looking for a special way to celebrate our 20th anniversary, and we need your help. We are seeking current Hudson Link students and alumni to design a creative, innovative and professional design to be printed on special 20th anniversary t-shirts. The design should be recognizable and help promote our organization’s mission, “To provide college education, life skills and re-entry support to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated men and women to help them make a positive impact on their own lives, their families and communities, resulting in lower rates of recidivism, incarceration and poverty.” The rest is up to you! Please read below for more details regarding design contest rules & submission requirements.

How to Enter the Contest
Submissions must be received by 7/31/18. Winners will be announced via our website, social media accounts, and by direct contact to the winners via mail, email. In order for your entry to be reviewed by our judges, it should be submitted to Lauren Reed c/o Hudson Link by mail (P.O. Box 862, Ossining NY 10562) or email (released students only, lreed@hudsonlink.org) or to the academic coordinator at your facility (incarcerated students only). Entries may be submitted by an individual or a team.

Design Requirements
Professional:
This design may be featured on our website, our social media platforms and other mediums (stationary, pamphlets, t-shirts etc.). As a result, while we want the design to be eye-catching, it should be legible.

Theme:
The design must promote the mission of Hudson Link, “To provide college education, life skills and re-entry support to incarcerated men and women to help them make a positive impact on their own lives, their families and communities, resulting in lower rates of recidivism, incarceration and poverty.” Keep in mind this is our 20th year and we are looking for a design to help celebrate that milestone!!!

Color:
There are no limitations. Any colors may be used. Our brand colors are maroon and teal.

Integrity/Originality:
Designs must be original and cannot contain copyrighted material. Designs must have been created by the contestant(s). Designs may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published.

Prize
Winner will receive recognition on Hudson Link’s website, e-newsletter, and social media platforms (and bragging rights!).

Contest Details
Contest is open to current Hudson Link alumni and family members of Hudson Link students/alumni. Winners will be selected by Hudson Link staff. Contestants agree that Hudson Link may publish their design and name(s) and may use both for advertising campaigns and/or marketing materials in the future. Contestants assign all ownership rights, including all intellectual property rights to the design, to Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison. Additionally, Hudson Link may alter, modify or revise the design as it sees necessary to achieve the goals of the organization. Hudson Link reserves the right to not select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.

For this year’s Giving Tuesday, Give Connection! We are asking our community to help us provide our released alumni with essential technology for navigating our 21st Century world, as well as other basic necessities like underwear, cozy sweats, and socks.

Supporting the Giving Connections campaign is as simple as shopping on Amazon: visit the Giving Connection wishlist, select the items you wish to purchase for Hudson Link alumni, and make sure to choose Hudson Link’s office as the shipping destination at checkout. Please make sure to include a gift note so we know who each donation is coming from.

Thank you for all you do for Hudson Link alumni, this Giving Tuesday and all year round. We could not do this work without you!
