St. Thomas Aquinas College to Host a Screening of First Degree

October 11, 2017 by Admin

St. Thomas Aquinas, our newest collegiate partner at Sullivan Correctional Facility, located in Sparkill, New York is showing First Degree, the award-winning PBS documentary starring some of our students and staff members.

This event is free and open to the public and will be held on the campus on Thursday, October 19, 2017.

From the St. Thomas Aquinas College website:

St. Thomas Aquinas College in partnership with Hudson Link presents: A Special Screening and Panel Discussion on “First Degree” a PBS documentary about college inside Sing Sing Prison. How it affects those incarcerated, their families, the educators who teach them, and why we should care.

Date: Thur, Oct 19 Time: 5-7pm
Location: St. Thomas Aquinas Library 125 Route 340,
Sparkill, NY.

FIRST DEGREE is the story of the men of Hudson Link, an organization created by incarcerated individuals that provides a full college degree through local universities. The men and the results are so stunning, they have to be seen to be believed.

This Giving Tuesday, Give Comfort

This year on Giving Tuesday, we are asking our community to help us provide our released alumni with some of the essentials as part of our Giving Comfort campaign. All donations of brand new items help us so we can provide underwear, undershirts, socks, cozy sweats, and other basic necessities.

Supporting the Giving Comfort campaign is as simple as shopping on Amazon: visit the Giving Comfort wishlist, select the items you wish to purchase for Hudson Link alumni, and make sure to choose Hudson Link’s office as the shipping destination at checkout. Please make sure to include a gift note so we know who each donation is coming from.

Thank you for all you do for Hudson Link alumni, this Giving Tuesday and all year round. We could not do this work without you!
