We are thrilled to announce that Sean Pica has been promoted to President of Hudson Link.
Sean’s inspiring journey from serving a 16-year sentence to leading our organization has been remarkable. Joining the board after his release, he became Executive Director in 2007, driving incredible growth and innovation. Sean’s commitment to this organization and its goals has been a lifelong one.
Under Sean’s visionary leadership, Hudson Link has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from 60 students attending Mercy College at Sing Sing Correctional Facility to nearly 600 students enrolled annually in college preparatory and college programs across five facilities in New York State. By forging partnerships with esteemed institutions within these facilities, Hudson Link has awarded over 1,000 college degrees to date.
Sean also spearheaded the launch of critical reentry support initiatives, including the New Beginnings reentry housing project, further solidifying Hudson Link’s impact on recently released alumni. His efforts have brought national recognition to the organization, with features in documentaries like HBO’s University of Sing Sing and PBS’s First Degree, with Sean becoming one of the most sought-after and leading keynote speakers in the field.
As President, we are confident that Sean will continue providing his invaluable skills, passion and dedication in furthering Hudson Link’s mission to empower our students and alumni to better their lives.
