On Friday, June 23rd Hudson Link hosted its first-ever Westchester Alumni Gathering at The Center at Mariandale, located in Ossining, NY. The Center has a rich history as a place of hospitality, reflection, and peace, and we were beyond grateful to host there among our community.
Hudson Link Alumni, friends, family members, professors, and our community partners attended the event on lush grounds overlooking the river from which we take our name. Yummy food, thirst-quenching beverages, and desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth accompanied the gathering’s chats and reminiscing. A crystal blue swimming pool for family and friends helped make the location ideal because of the rich history of the communities served there for three-quarters of a century.
Two weeks after, we had the privilege of hosting our first Long Island gathering Link in collaboration with New Hour on Friday, July 14th. This event was held at Belmont Lake State Park and was filled with love, laughter, and joy.
Hudson Link and New Hour alumni attended with friends, family, and our collective communities. We’re so happy to have had a chance to partner with this incredible organization! New Hour’s vision empowers justice-impacted women and gender-expansive folks and provides parenting skills, work skills, and wellness programs during and after incarceration to give these folks the tools needed to become change agents for themselves, their community, and their children. Thank you to all that came to celebrate summer with us!
